MBBR Bio Filter Media is specially used in the Integrated Fixed-film Activated Sludge (IFAS) and moving bed biofilm reaction (MBBR) system for water treatment. It is a kind of high efficiency filter media and the opearation is very simple.
The MBBR filter media is with the simliar density as that of water, which makes it suspending in the water in the MBBR reactor. When the wastewater goes through the MBBR media, the biofilm grows up on the surface of the media gradually. The big surface area of the MBBR media offers big contacting area for the bio-mechnical system.
The MBBR media can move freely in the reactor with the move of the water. For the aerobic reactor, the aeration will make the media move; for the anaerobic reactor, mechanic mixing will make the media move.
Application
MBBR filter media is suitable to treat various kinds of wastewater including but not limited to: the urban sewage, paper making wastewater, food industry wastewater, slaughtering wastewater, oil refining wastewater and industrial wastewater.
